I plan on going to vegas and racen in a couple of weeks and was checking the rule book and saw that the rear bumpers are 20" max to center of the top bar . well right now I am at 25" and when I lowered the bumper the bottom bar is like 9" from the ground and does not look right at all is my 2003 imca book wrong or is that the way it has to be. also the rule book gives the same 16" to 20" measurements as the rear for the front bumper

When we ran Vegas last year they did not tech us for that. When we went to Boone for the Supernats they did, so you never know with IMCA.I do know if it is in the rules they mean it.At Boone the were critical of the body rake of the car.It was a half in. high in the rear and would have been worse after fuel burn off when they would have checked it again. It only matters if you finish up front. So do your homework.

All the big guys from IMCA will be at Vegas, and Tom Herbert runs the tech line. I'd make sure you're legal with all the body, nerf, and bumper rules. They busted me a couple of years ago on the rack issue, so I know they look real close. Also, make sure you have at least 3/8" bolts holding the bumpers.

They are pretty tight with tech at Vegas, last year they found a lot of problems in Fridays Tech line.

What gear are you going to run at Vegas? I may end up there but need to have an idea on the gear?

4.86 is what I can get and is what I was told to run. a friend of mine ran 4.56 and was pretty fast so I would say if your in that range you should be good. see ya there

I have heard everything from 4:56 to 5:29 gear being run on the halfmile. I usually run a 4:88
