That's a pretty sorry statement when a builder won't back up their work! You'd think that they would want to do everything they could to help the guys running their cars to get them up front. Guess I know which chassis I won't be looking into!

Sounds like the HOT guys are a little paranoid.I guess they think someone might copy them. Their set-ups probably wouldn't work on anything else anyway.Pretty sad.Everyone should talk to the prospective builders of the cars before they buy them to see if support is available from them.It would save alot of frustration.

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES, I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THERE TECH SUPPORT BEFORE BUT I DON'T THINK A BASIC SET UP SHEET FOR THAT YEAR WAS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY. THEY ARE LOCAL, IS THE MAIN REASON I AM BUYING THE CAR BUT, NEXT CAR I MIGHT CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE. NOT BASHING THEM, THEY ARE FAST DOWN HERE BUT IT PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.

There are a few Hot chassis's around my parts. They are decently fast. I know one guy pretty good, he said that Hot called him every Monday to see how he had ran that past weekend. If he had any problems they were very helpful. I don't understand why they wouldn't help you??? I know how you feel though, I bought a car from a local builder and he promised all kinds of support and then one day I called for set-up help and was told that they no longer work on race cars !! I drive by his shop everyday and there is always some race car sitting outside. I tell everyone around me not to go to them.

they probbly couldn't help you with set-up
because the guy that builds them now, did not build them in 99. you need to try and get
a hold of gene boyter at ark-la-tex speedway.
