i run a third mile (big) and i was just wondering what ways a lot of guys use to set the car for the corner.
this is something i seem to get sometimes and others i am way off the mark.
i was thinking this might be a good topic and how other drivers do it.
theres probably a lot of different opinions on this so lets hear em.
personnally i drive toword the corner as hard as i can , then just after the flagstand i get off the gas most of the way and roll a bit until the car (a dw8) feels a little pushy then get back on the gas as hard as i can without spinning the tires too much and drive it out. i have been told i try to drive the car through the corners and it messes up my entry........i was told to snap the wheel to set the car then get it to tail out and stand on it.
opinions or suggestions ???????

if there is a cushion burp the throttle a tad just before the corner and slam that thing in there sideways and slide yourself up to the cushon and gas that ride...
when its dry don't set the car, drive the car into the corner straight till you get to the center and then turn the car and drive straight out of the turn again..

Starting from the flagstand at WOT, I pick a braking point just before corner startes to bend. Then I'll turn the wheel easy to the left and stand on the pedel till the right amount of yaw is present, letting the front castor turn the wheel to the right. Then if the track has grip I'll roll into throttle quickly and hold the wheel right while manipulating the throttle to control the amount yaw and using the steering wheel to move either up or down the track depending on where traffic is. Once I each just past mid corner, I'll flat foot it and hope the rear end will dig enough to keep me ahead of the the traffic.

To race the 3 and 4, You will roll out of the throttle and let the car push up the banking, then wait for the car to roll through the center and very slowly roll into the throttle and use the steering input to stay a straight as possible and keep the rear from passing the front.

Over and over and over....

Does anybody race a 3/8ths track? I was just wondering if it makes much of a difference. Does anybody run less than four brakes?
