I have been thinking about this lately.
We ran 4.86 there last year. I know a lot of guys run anywhere from 4.73-5.00. I am trying to decide what we will run this year since we switched to gas. If anybody else has any suggestions i love to hear them as well

4.86 for big motor, 5.00 for little or average. good luck. it will take alot of that.

I've run everything from a 4.56 (yep - low revver) to a 5.14 - the 5.14 was a little much but a 4.86 or a 5.00 should be good for most mod guys.

Good luck to everyond going - I'm not going to be able make it this year - popped the head gasket and burnt the 'bridge' between 3&5 on my 377 - it's my only 'good' engine and I dont even have enough power to keep up with the normal crowd - much less the travelling heavy hitters!

Here is a pretty descriptive post from another message board about Lakeside if you all haven't already read it:

I RAN A 500 LAST YEAR AT THE MLRA RACE IN MY MOD.355 FLAT TAPPET AND TURNED IT 7800 WITH A BERT ON 2 LINK.HOPE THAT HELPS.
