would it work to make a 4 link rear suspention with a swing arm style floater and mount the spring solid to the front of the axle curious to see if this will work or not work due to the lack of indexing? looking to find a way to eliminate the mantinence and weight of the sliders.
thanks in advance

just put it on spring cups on the front so it indexes when you get on the gas.

would this setup offer more bite than a standard 3 link.

If I understand what you are saying then you mean you would have your 4 link bars on the birdcage but the birdcage has nothing else attached to it. Then you would have a clamp bracket of some sort with the spring on it in front of the axle. If so that is exactly the way the Skyrocket cars are setup and also the DW9 4 links. Then you can either clamp the shock or put it on the birdcage either one, behind the axle. I was amazed at how much freer the rear of the car seemed without sliders on it. I was worried about loasing a spring but it has never happened. Lots more bite than a 3 link plus more adjustability with the bars.

bend 1/8 rod around inside the cups, so it makes a cone, or dome. and then if the spring comes off then when the car sits back down it will glide it back onto the spring seat. also at our track we have to have a 1/8 steel cable to hold the springs on the car if they fall off. every track should have that.

The Skyrockets run both springs on mounts like this, Solid to the axle in front?

Most skyrockets have the RR spring on top of the housing. I think that is the way kelly sends them out. That doesnt mean they cant be changed by the driver though.
