i spray the undersides and insides of back quarters and deck as well as nosepiece and panel in front of feet and pedals etc with generic wd40(whatever lube is on sale) awhile before we go out to pack or hotlaps, right before i use some mudoff sprayed out of a sprayer. after the muddy hotlaps our guys just s****e whatever is under there off easily. by nights end not much is there. it makes washing every week then very easy. sometimes there are some chunks to get off but not usually. im sure there is something better but this works good for us. just make sure everything is clean every week for the spray to stick to a good surface

I use machine tool oil it is the same as mud off. in case you do not no what machine tool oil is it is the oil that a machinist would use to cool his part being machined it is a water based oil that works very well as mud off alot cheaper to.

Baby oil all the way...cleans up nice.. DO NOT USE COOKING OIL!!! Had the guy next to me use it and it ended up on my car.....hard to get off...real hard. Where i had clear coat over my photo print numbers it turned it all brown from the dirt!!!!!!!!!!!

can you dilute the baby oil to put it in a sprayer or what??

or are you guys just wiping it on the exterior surfaces.

I really need something I can spray, my cage, tin, etc gets coated and I dont want to be a car washer all the time.

Yep you can mix with water...or straight and put it in a weed sprayer or spray bottle....spray on the car and leave or you can wipe it after you spray.

i spray it on, and then take a rag usually and whipe it around the car, takes 2 people about 3 min to do the whole car. and works great.

I've seen some rednecks here in Texas use diesel fuel.

After you wash the car put a good coat of car wax on it. Not only makes her shine but mud will come off a lot easier.

On the underside of the car apply the wax and let it dry but dont wipe it off. Mud will just fall off.

I do the same as dirtbuster, but would like to add that you should always spray the inners and outers of your rims with WD-40. I've forgoten before and had large chunks of dirt stick in them causing a bad vibraiton. I also spray the underside of the rear decking, the rear filler pannel (when I had to run one), and the frame right behind the front wheels. The rest of it comes off at the carwash.

I use Pledge, just spray it on in the garage and wipe it off, makes the car really shine and easy to clean that night or the next day.

The very best stuff I have ever used was the Blue cold wax from a drive thru car wash (you know the deluxe car wash). The mud fell off after wheel packing and the car was almost mud free all night.

However..... the guy who gave it to me "neglected" to tell me that one gallon of wax will do about 1000 cars in the car wash and my car had an almost neon blue look all evening. I have since switched to the slightly less effective yellow/clear car wash wax and it works very well

Jantz;
Us rednecks in Texas have used bout everything, Diesel, Tranny fluid, Tranny fluid mixed with solvent, PAM., Pledge, Baby Oil, WD40, Penzoil 30 on a rag, and in some cases actually used Mudoff (swiped from a neighbor racer LOL).

We use baby oil also, people look at you like you are a huge perv when you buy it. Just tell the cashier you are using it to keep the mud off, then smile and give her a wink.

Is baby oil actually water soluble where it will mix, or does it seperate right away if you mix it with water?

Tried baby oil without a lot of luck and went back to Mud Off.

You folks might think twice about using WD-40, silicon spray and other FLAMMABLE stuff.....of course unlike alcohol, you can see it when everything you sprayed catches on fire.
