I'm running a 5th coil on a 41" torque arm. with a 7 " shock what would you recomend to start with for a spring. Car has 65%-66% rear weight. Want it to travel about 3". Using an 1 7/8 x 8 coil.

Thanks DW

WOW, may I ask why you have such a high rear percentage? I can go farther into the 5th coil setup but, it does depend on how the rest of the car is setup (springs, shocks, bars, etc.).

I'm suspecting you currently run a 5th coil and have a high rear percent to help hook the car up?

The rear % is normal to our north east mods. I have never run a 5th coil before. Will be First time this weekend. I was going to start with a 400lbs x 8" this will give me 3.5" of travel before coil bind. Set up has alot of rollsteer in it, max out at 3" rear steer at full tilt.

It's what I call Sonic. Started life as a 99 TEO PRO I clipped front and rear myself and custom designed front and rear suspension. It is all the ideas I have had over the last 20yrs and some new ideas rolled up into one car. Was to run it for the first time at OCFS tonite but rained out. Will just have to wait till next week.

On the 68% rear could work. I ran up to 71% rear with my 95 Olsen car. Was supper fast on a berm but could only hold my own on the bottom when slick.

hey dbradley, ran it against the bb mods. ran good. made main from consi started 25th finish 14th. The right rear got knocked back so when track slicked up car was loose. This week will run with the 358s. Are you still running the 4coil TEO?

It's a 4-coil troyer...Yeah we are doing much better...Have been a top 5-6 car the last 3 weeks...We are getting a bit loose coming off late(dropping a few spots)RR gets warm too...I am thinking about increasing rear percentage...@60%-62% with 12-14 gallons of GO juice now....What do ya think about filling it up???

I'd go up to as much as 64% rear. I scale car for the end of the racw with 10 gal and start feature with about 15 gal. 25-30 laps usualy use 5 gal.

Do these cars have this mush rear cause of the way they are built, or do you have to hang ballest on them to get it? Cool looking cars, wish they were like that around here.

It's the way they are built. racerwilsons car does not have any ballast hung.

The driver sits upright like a sprint car. The motor plate is right in front of your feet so the trany is in between your legs and the center line of the rear is 13"to 16" back from the seat.

24kc You wouldn't bieleve me if I told you.
It was very difficult to mount twin shocks with twin stacked coils underneeth the car.
If it goes well I may look to sell as a kit for each brand car. Still too early though.

The Main started 24th within two laps got to 12th on the move to the front. On lap 12th broke one of hyd lines for a tortion bar adjster and got evil and finished 18th. we got some good data.
