We would like to raise our rear ride heights by about 1/4"-1/2". Can you raise your rear ride heights, without changing your setup, by simply putting even amount of turns in both rear sliders, if your rear springs are not the same rate? LR-225lb, RR-200lb. This is on a DW-8, short 2-link.
Thanks

Raising the ride height on the rear will also increase the ride height in the front, only a little less. It probably will change your scale numbers, too. I set mine up a 1/4" higher all the way around than what DW suggests. Most guys around here do, too. 5-1/4" LF, 5-1/2" RF, 5-1/2" LR, 5-3/4" RR.

them DW cars do like to be raised up higher than what DW setup sheet says to run! We run our fronts 5 3/4" and rears 6 1/4.

We were running ours around 6" +/o 1/4" or so at the first of the season, but the underslung was hitting the rearend, so we dropped them some. We recently bent our pinion bracket, which was bought at our local race shop, so we ordered one from Dirt Works. There was about 2" difference in the location of the four panhardbar mount holes. On the DW plate, the 2nd hole from the bottom matched the top hole on the other plate. Since we changed plates, the car is not lifting near as much, so we thought we should raise the rear ride heights back up to where they should be. After putting 4 turns in each rear slider,(suggested by Andy from DW) we are now at
5 1/4"-LF, 5 1/2"-RF, 5 1/4"LR, 5 7/8"RR. What hit me as kinda funny, was that with the same turns on both sides, the RR gained about 1/2 " more than the LR.

My DW8 did exactly the same thing when I first adjusted the ride height. It took a little patience and alot of beer to get it right!

Well, Andy C. from DW must have known what he was talking about. Put the 4 turns in both sides,& the car was bad fast. Hope everyone had a safe weekend.
