So will you need a new rearend housing now?

I thought I was the only one who did smart things like that. A guy in front of me one time lost his bumper, and I ran over it. Ruined two right side wheels, two brand spankin' new tires, and and oil pan.

It could have been worse. It could have gone through the seat and put another hole in you, or just went up your already present hole. That would be painful.

I've got you beat. I haven't been able to run my car all season until now. I took it out for the first time on Wed for practice, ran 2 sessions, came in and it wouldn't fire back up. It was making some funky grinding noises when I was cranking on it. Just tried to get it started today to race for the first time tonight...
WATER OUT THE LEFT BANK!!!!

Let's not talk about luck.

Luck, let me tell ya' bout luck (and some bone headedness). First night steering box started locking up, 2nd night J-bar bolt broke, 3rd timing chain broke, 4th and 5th new "too tight" neck collar caused shortness of breath, 6th punted in feature, 7th stuck float leaned engine, 8th finished 7th, 9th fellow competitor thought 8 tires gripped better than 4, knocked all of left front off, 10th blinded by glare, guy spun. didn't see him til too late, front clip. But ain't nothin better.

OUr LM went to a new track, car was all wrong, thrashed and changed 4 springs and shocks and 4 link angles went to weigh the car t check it and the tracks scales were not working. Started heat race 15th and ended 15th. It helps to keep all 4 tires on the car. We lost both left in one corner when 2 hub nuts broke. ( What are tha chances of that as they were not even the same Mfg) Started feature in 28th. 5 laps later I was in 9th and moving. got to 3rd only turning 6500rpm. We were catching lapped cars so I waited my time and jumped to the outside and passed 2nd and 1st comming out of 4 just intime to hit the 4 slow cars when they went to the wall.

Then backed out of the pile and went to the pits, while they were clearing the track we pulled off both sides, nose, both sail panels on the roof and the spoiler. Got back out and went to the back 23rd. Green flag fell and I passed 7 cars in one lap. got to 2nd and was running there until the last lap. Comming out of 4 I jumped to the outside passed the leader and threw the driveshaft into the infeild and coasted accross the line in 5th place. Track paid $1200 to win, $800 for 2nd, $500 for third, $200 for fourth and I got $75.

i have been told that my green car is the reason for my bad luck, but i do not think so i think just pulling on the track was bad luck, then this weekend blew up the rearend this weekend on friday night, broke the driveshaft and shot flames out the rearend. so we borrowed parts to go for sat. then the toterhome picked up something in the fuel line and broke down. so then we get back home. track down a pickup from a friend and finally got to the track. pulled the car out of the trailer and straight onto the track for hotlaps.
i think just having a racecar is bad luck.

well,I have some bad luck,
I have broke 2 times in hotlaps,
One time a flywheel broke
2nd time,tranny blew up.
I broke a tranny in pace laps for the A.

Last year,I blew up a new motor, during intermission, motor gave us problems all day, missed the heats, was gonna tag on the back of A,asked if I could run a few laps to help break in motor,it went down the front strait then the motor thought it should brake,I was 2nd only about 15 points behind point leader.

2 weekends ago, ran 1 lap of first heat, and ran over rear spring from a car in front of me, tore a power steer hose, dented oil pan bad, and tore off the oil filter with 1/2 the adapter. but i ended up 2nd in the main.
last week went to new track, first heat track was greasy and we were way off, made a couple adjustments and were running away from the pack in the second heat when i rolled a tire off the bead. i was again running away from the pack in the feature, had a 5 car length lead when a caution came out. on the restart a car out powered me into 1, and wasnt going to let off until he was leading or wrecked. i let him go once he had me up in the marbles (thank god i was there to turn him). two other cars went through on the bottom before i could get it back up to speed. a few laps later, while passing for third on the outside, we were side by side 1st-2nd then 3rd-4th, the first place car, the guy who had guard railed me to put me back in the pack, spun and collected me. i was then run into from behind. the rear damage was limited to trailing arms and a shock (i think) but the front was done, needs reclipped. the impact shortened my car enough that the drive shaft is stuck in the transmission, and the cast iron bellhousing shattered.
i have the old clip cut off and the car sitting on the new clip on the jig, and havent hurt myself, badly, yet. but i have to get it welded together today and finish the front hoop.
