There was a bunch of ideas posted in May on this subject. If you go to the top of the mod tech screen and click on 'show topics from the last 75 days' you can go back to May 6 2004 there is a question "best way to make tires softer" posted by racerwilson that has a number of homemade solutions that people suggested. Hope this helps.

you guys may think im being a smart ellic, but its ok cause i am, but i think after runnin the new hoosiers we get to run, the best way to soften the g-60's is put them in the fire stove and burn them. they heat the garage a whole lot better than they stick to the race track.
Hope this doesnt make anyone mad, its just a joke.
