i know that some of you all are against anything to do with traction control, but there are some places that are probably going to make it leagal so why not get a jump on everyone!

im not planning on it, but some of the people around here are under the impresion that it is cheap and everyone could have it so why not everyone have it by making it legal.

Davis technologies is probably the premier company for traction control. I talked with Shannon last winter in Indy during the PRI show, not as a consumer, but just interested in how his product works and to find out how hard it is to identify if someone is running it. He basically said, if a guy has one of his newest boxes and the guy CAN drive to begin with you will NEVER hear the motor stutter. Lap times will improve also.

He told a story about a Nascar driver who he couldnt say who it was but the driver swore up and down that traction control would not help a car that is perfectly setup. They where testing at a 1/2 mile track and let the driver run laps as fast as he could after dialing the car in, then they brought him in and hooked up the T/C and he was knocking 3 to 4 tenths off his previous lap times without changing anything on the car except the T/C. He also had the data acquistion and he was FULL throttle 2 seconds longer than without the T/C.

OK, enough rambling, there where 2 or 3 other T/C companies at the PRI show that I stopped and looked at their products, one company was selling T/C that read wheel speed and used the brakes to adjust and another company had a deal that hooked up to the throttle linkage. I didnt spend much time looking at either of these company's so I dont have a whole lot of information (or even the company's name).
