We have just started racing a 1999 Olsen 4 coil DIRT modified and we are trying to learn the basics of how the 4 coil setup works and what is it suppose to be doing? Does anyone know about this? Are there any good websites on spring and shock tuning?
Thanks

racermarc where are you racing the car? What is the car doing or not doing? I won alot of races with a Olsen 4coil car in the 90's.

We are racing at a banked tacky track that slicks up by the time the feature rolls around. We are running all of the recommended shock and spring settings but all four shock travel indicators are bottomed out when the car comes in. It is difficult to get the car to rotate into the corner and then when it dose and start going back to throttle we get very little forward bite.

Racer has a mighty good set up that actually worked pretty darn good on our troyer 4-coil.. We just had to fudge around with compression and rebound settings..

Hey Racer,
I we could avoid everybody's terrible driving we would be doing much better....We have ended up bending up about every bar on the car the last 2 weeks...we ended up investing in a RR panard bar and are running that with the spring bar..last night we were way loose through the corner, but could tear it up coming off..we ran 80 pounds of RR gite and very level on the bar...that was probably the problem
