For you guys who are running a swingarm Z link RR, how do you have them setup as far as

1. where are you mounting your spring?
2. Where are you mounting your shock?

I was planing on seting the lr as a clamped swingarm with the spring mounted on the swingarm and the shock behind the rearend, is this a good idea?

I run what your talking about for a dryslick track. I clamp the lr swingarm and z-link the rr with the spring on swingarm and shock behind. From what i've experienced...it's not very good for a tacky track but it's great when it turns slick.

we run that set up. was a basic swingarm, just took the left rear trailing arm off, locked the left rear down and have run that set up now this year. works much better and nearly like a bar car. not quite as eratic but hooks much better on tacky and dry and you can still lift the left front wheel. another thing we changed to is the straight bar from the j bar and it works much better on sidebite. springs are on sliders mounted to swingarms in front of rearend and shocks are behind. when the track gets real rough we just unclamp and hook the rear bar back up and back to swingarm. it is a much improved car for sure. still dont run quite up with many of the bar cars but have been doing real well on dryslick. hope this info helps

My right rear swing arm zlink has the spring mounted on the swingarm directly ahead of the axle housing, then the shock is also on the swingarm, ahead of the spring.
