Who can recommend the best up to date modified dirt track books for suspension and driving tech?

I've read them all and feel this forum is the best. Just read this everyday and you'll learn more than you can read in any one book. The Steve Smith Imca mod book is alright.

Steve smith is not bad, I know there have been major advances in suspensions and such in the last couple years, the way we scale our cars, new techniques etc.

Get yourself a subscription to "Circle Track" magazine. They have lots of info on suspensions, engines, tuning, etc. It's real cheap too, I got mine for $10 a year.

The thing I think one has to do to keep up is always keep your eyes ears and mind open to any and all things that could ever link over to your racing. I'll read and listen to anything new and old then one has to use what applys. One thing I did years ago was start my own book of notes devide it up in chapters such as wieght balance engines tire presures then if I read anything on it or even pick up an idea at a track or anything make a note on it and where the info came from then later on you can go back read your notes and decide whats going to work best for your program. I think one has to even be open to what the other forms of racing are doing. After doing all this you will be able to find that if one person or book tells you one thing if you look far enough you will find something else or someone else to tell you the opossite. I keep thinking someone will post here some new info, the steve smith books and stuff I have got are over ten years old and I don't think he has rewritten any of them. Eat Drink Sleep racin thats what I do. I know I am into it when the wife says I am talking about the race car in my sleep.
