i've added an additional hole to my lr birdcage slightly lower and forward than the "stock" location on the birdcage to pre-index it for the slick....my question is when i do go to this lower hole, the birdcage has to be slightly rotated to get the bar and hole to lined up....do i need to adjust the length of the bar to keep the birdcage level or is this slight, and i do mean slight, maybe 3/8 inch at most, change in the rotation at ride height ok?

I'd suggest you check the birdcage at full index (jacking up the LR frame rail and make sure the upper bar doesn't lock the birdcage by going over center). You don't want this to happen, and could wreck your car if it does. As for your question, I don't think a slight pre-indexing will hurt your situation. Pre-indexing the birdcage is a tuning tool.

keep in mind that, if your springs are attached to the birdcage, this is affecting corner weights.
