When you guys run metric fronts on your modifieds, how do you transition from the clip to the frame rail? Do you use the metric frame rail all the way back? If not, what do you use?

I trashed the right frame rail on my street stock and am wondering about my options on replacing it.

Thanks,

We have to keep the stock frame rail all the way back. we can cut the frame rail at no further foward than 36" from center of rear end housing.
so the stock frame rail is almost all the way back.
you can replace your frame rail with some channel iron or square tubing.
hope this helps and good luck

Thanks, that helps.

Before this weekend, I always thought that once the frame rails were bent to unparrallel, the chassis was trash. Now that my frame rail is broken, I am rethinking this. If you broke the frame rail on your car, would you replace it or trash the chassis?

On A modified the factory frame is just dressing it serves as nothing to the chassis, As for a street stock, if your main cage was built correctly and not badly bent in the accident you can replace the rail with no problem.
