i'm trying to figure out what kind of car my buddy has. it apears to be a harris, but it has a newer crown victoria stub under it!it has been re-stubbed but it was the same as before-ie the patches are into metal that was in the same shape.he was told it's a 1990,with all the y2k updates, and has provisions for lift arm and pull-bar.harris says they updated it,but its not a harris! any others out there like this?what brand of car is it?

Look for the initials RW # 001 or 003 on the left frame rail by the left post on the inside of the car. Also was the frame originally blue? Sounds very similar to a car I built in 98 that I sold to someone in your area of vinton around 2000-2001 thru RPM consignment in Des Moines Iowa. Let me know if you can get more info.

If this is the same car I owned it was built brand new in 98 like a Harris with the crown vic stub and it would show on the left frame rail ahead of the footbox a patch around the frame rail where I had to splice it when i had to restub after a wreck in 98 at oskaloosa. Since I was a former harris employee the car will look almost identical to a Harris except the crown vic stub. It should have impala spindles and rotors with the harris metric caliper adaptors. 3 link rear with a coleman floater if it hasnt been changed too much. Also I ran both the torque arm or the pullbar on it. Also cage would have been 2"taller with a 4"extended footbox. Let me know what you find out and how he is doing with it.

Car would be similar to the white primer bare chassis on my website at www.customperformance.org

yep it looks like an early diamond to me,it has a few more mounts on the rear than a new one though. i know theres a rw on the chasis but the number i dont remember,i will find out later today. it was bought in des moines at rpm and is currently residing in vinton, coleman was bent and the 3 link was a swing arm with home-made arms and cups.lift arm upper mount is still there but is using the long afco pull bar with rubbers in it. could use some set up help, if you'r willing thanks!
