I have been running Wilwood polymatrix D pads. They need replaced, and I was wondering if there is a better choice.I have heard people talk about gator pads. This would be for metric calipers. Thanks

I would stick with the D pad or go to the E pad if you are looking to get more braking when cold and E will still hold up to high heat. Gator pads are good braking but you will go though a couple of sets of rotors to a set of pads.

When running asphault I drove for a guy in a LLM that I could throw into the corner and stop on a dime, after eating a set of rotors on my mod I asked him whay he used. He would not put anything on his cars but NAPA pads. They sell a "hard" set of pads and that was all he used. This car was on a 3/8 mile FAST track and on a 5/8 mile track and never had brake problems. They were like $20 bucks a set for the full size calipers and $15 for the metric.
