Running a limited mod 355ci 2bbl. Z-Link both sides with and Afco pull bar 1050lb spring. Should I preload the spring or not?

I believe AFCO calls for a 1/2 in. of preload.Thats what we run.

yeah usually I'll put a 1/4 in it. Just enough to get some tension.

the theory is more preload for heavier tracks and less for slick tracks.

NJantz is right, the heavier tracks need more, 1/4 in. is a good starting point for an average track. You want less on a slick track to keep from 'shocking' your rears and breaking them loose.

Most of the tracks I run on are slimy to tacky for the heats and almost always hard slck for features. I should probably leave it as is.
