i have heard that some guys prefer manual steering over power steering , Anyone out there run manual ? pro's & cons ?

We used to run it years ago on our street stock, but since technology has advanced so far on power steering pumps, they don't rob so much horse power any more, they are practically bullet proof (the good ones)
If you run a 2:1 steering quickner they highly reccomend using pwr steering. I don't think my brother would ever drive a car without pwr steering again, he gets pretty tired now with it and a 2:1 quickner.
I don't think there is one person at our track that uses manual steering, if there is I keep an eye out for the guy with Popeye arms LOL..........

without Power steering I don't think you can run a steering quickener and you have to run less caster. There are a few guys racing asphalt modifieds without it.

I ran 2 years in a Mod. with out power steering and I had a 2to1 quickener on.

I lose feel in the middle of corner , cannot feel the car at all , was told manual steering would fix the problem ,Just not sure about that.
5 degrees caster on RF 3 degrees on LF. any suggestions on what could cause this ?
