I have an asphalt chassis that I switched over to dirt, and when I went and raced, the steering felt like there was way too much play in it...and my hands were constantly spinning the steering wheel to keep from spinning coming off of the corner. The power steering seemed too slow for the response I needed. I was wondering if there are different steering boxes that are used on asphalt cars. It is the normal 3 rounds from side to side, but I was wondering if anything else could be different. The car wasnt rolling over very much either. Most of the guys had their left front coming off of the ground in the corner, how do my car to roll over that much? Thanks!

Are you running a steering quickener?

The reason they are carrying the LF off the ground is due to the rear suspension, likely short trailing arms or a 4 link which will lift the left side under acceleration.

I would have to look and see, but I really dont think that the car has a steering quickener on it.

Sounds like that is the problem then. That would speed it up so that you arent hand over hand turning so much.
