What does a 4 bar do with the left rear spring in front of the axle & shock behind? Both un-clamped. The right side, same way.

I ran mine that way last year. It is more violent when you lift for the corner, because the birdcage is indexed away from the spring, so when you lift the car has to drop a long way before contacting the spring. I was fast with it, but have started running the LR behind. Are considering the LR in front setup to deal with a heavy track??? If so, run the LR behind, but put the RR behind as well. My chassis specialist suggested this to me, and it has worked great. I know it sounds strange, but think about the indexing of the RR birdcage and it may start to make sense. Try it on the heavy, you'll like it.

Chad- thanks that makes sense. When you run both your springs behind, how do you have your bars set?

First, I'm running a DW8 4-link car. I always have my lowers in the middle holes in the lower mounts (about level). I generally run my Left Upper bar in the third hole up (approx. 15 degrees) with the Right Upper bar one hole higher (approx. 18 degrees). I didn't change the bar angles when I put the RR spring behind. I usually never change the 4-link bars (once you find a spot where the car works well for you, leave them alone). All my adjustments are made with the Monte Bar and J-bar, sometimes some lead. Hope this helps.
