Just asking for opinions here. On a 4 link car when viewed from the rear what direction do your link bars run. Do they run straight ahead, toe in at the front on one or both sides etc. If you set them a certain way what is your reasoning behind it?

thanks.

I always try and run my bars parallel to the chassis, or sometimes, slightly inboard at the front chassis mounting point. The theory being, that the more the bars are angled inboard or outboard, the more rearsteer you're getting as the chassis rolls and the j-bar/panhard bar pulls the rearend to the left. I know you don't want your bars to angle outboard at the front chassis mounts. These are general rules to follow.

you may go with the bars angled to the left slightly, then when the car begins to hike up the bars will be even, because the rearend goes to the left as the body rolls. dont get the bars to far at any angle though, because they will not be as strong as they would be if used straight.
but mine angle slightly to the left, but not much, so when the body is about 2/3 hiked up the bars will be straight in the car.

Thats why I was asking. on our new car the way it came from DW the trailing arms all run to the left. But when you get the car jacked up like it wouldbe on the track they pretty much straighten out. Everything I've read and had a late model guy tell me that they should be pretty much straight ahead to maybe toe in a little when its on the ground. Just trying to figure out what to do...
