The best 4 blade is the stock GM#405442 (I think) It is actually 19" but we have cut them down to 16".

We attended the Brooks\Shaw school and it was one of thing they recomended......
unfortunately I didn't write down the part number. If you call Kevin Shaw at their shop I'd be willing to bet he'd give you the G.M. part number.

The GM # is 405442, this is the most powerful fan available, only down fall is it wasn't designed to see 8000 rpm's so keep an eye on the rivets as they are the weak spot.

Running alchol or gas? if your running alchol get a plastic 4 blade fan. We have used one for last 10 yrs never had a prob with the car overheating

Ill agree with 2nd2none that the GM fan prob wasnt designed for 7000 rpm but picturing it in my head it is like 2 overlapping pieces of steel that are riveted together but also the fan bolts go through ea piece too. Even if it did lose a rivet its still bolted together and wont come apart like some fans would. Actually to me it looks safer than some of the aftermarket ones i have seen.
