How snug does the belt need to be on a rear mounted KSE pump? Pump mounted on the bellhousing of the falcon transmission. Thanks!

a good rule of thumb is take the belt between two fingers and try to twist it...it should go roughly 90 degrees to normal but not beyond..in otherwords their should be a little slack..

I agree. I run ours not quite that loose but still plenty of slack in it. Since it is a tooth drive it doest have to be tight but you dont want it to flop around and throw itself off either. Running it too tight will tear up teh bearing not to mention the insides of the pump.

All the above responses are correct. You need to realize that the belt will tighten up as the RPM's increase. So, not too tight when you set it up.
