Measure outside of each wheel flange for either type of rearend. Most common width of rearend is 60" centered fo a mod.

I've got an early montecarlo (68-72?) front clipped car and the rear in it is a non-floater 9" that measures 62", but all I can find in floaters used is a 60" - what effects am I going to notice if I swap to a 60" rear or should I keep looking for a good used 62"??

Thanks!

With a 62" its about as wide as the fornt track width i imagine, when you go narrower your cars weight transfer and side bite will improve, i changed one car form a 62 to a 60" and it improved all around.
