To convert an engine to alcohol, what all has to be changed? I have always wondered and can never find anything on it. Thanks in advance.

Basically the fuel system. You will need to get a high volume fuel pump (one for alcohol) Holly and Elderbrock both make one. you'll need a fuel log, regulator for return line and a good alcohol carb. The engine itself is really built no differant, just using differant fuel. If you can find a good local carb man that does alcohol, use him, if you have problems getting it dialed in he would probally help you.

dont waste your time on alky. go with gas. the power difference is very little most the time. also gas does not burn as much so you dont loose as much rear %. alot of of cars around me are switching back to gas. just run gas. better overall.

I have run gas, but currently run alcohol. Like it was stated, I have not noticed any power differences, but my car does run about 30-40 degrees cooler with the alcohol. That is the major advantage to alcohol that I have found.

we ran this weekend and could only get up to 160 temp on gas, radiator completely blocked off.
and in mid summer we run about 190 most all night with the radiator opened up and no fan shroud.
