BATESVILLE AR. Entries continue to pour in for the richest race in Open Wheel Modified history, the Alltel 100. The event, scheduled for May 3-8 2004, is now up to 75 entries, with more arriving each week.
Mooney Starr, owner and promoter of the Batesville Speedway, has inked another sponsor for the event. While Alltel will continue to be the title sponsor, Starr is negotiating associate sponsors for the race, and TCI Automotive is the first to throw it's hat in the ring.
TCI Automotive of Ashland, Mississippi is a 35 year veteran of producing tranmission products for racers. "Designed, built, and tested by racers, TCI transmission products are specifically engineered to crank out race winning powers. Their countless victories and championships attest to that fact."
The Alltel 100 will pay the races' winner $100,000, and is attracting intrest from the entire spectrum of racing. Not only are the very best from Modified racing looking into the Alltel 100, but from other classes of racing as well. Even some drivers that have competed in Winston Cup have expressed an interest in this event.
Starr plans on taking up to 400 entries, and 75 of those slots are now filled. For more information about this event, you can contact the Batesville Speedway at 1-870-251-1200. You can find the Batesville Speedway on the world wide web at http://www.batesvillespeedway.com.
