its all about having fun. when it gets to the point were your not having fun its not worth the time or money. there are far more inportant things in life then racing. i haven't been around a long time, but i have seen quite a few guys that are to hung up on winning. i love to talk to the guys that are tickled just to get into the top ten, let alone a top five. those guys are usually the ones that don't spend a lot of money, yet they enjoy what they are doing. the guy that spends the big bucks and don't win usually leaves the track all ****ed off. just my opinion, like i said i've only been around race cars a couple of years. i also agree with your five things as well.

I agree with all of you. We have a couple of tracks that run on friday nights around here and they are less than 20 miles apart and one is brand new this year. The other one has been around forever and is a great track but the people running it are all about the money and fame. The new tracks owner takes time to come around and shake your hand and say thanks for coming out and good luck plus it is a 3/8 mile and the other is a half and i've seen way better racing at the new one than I ever have the half mile. So I guess what i'm saying is I will always go to the track that treats the drivers and fans like people instead of money spenders.

You have all the right reasons down. I kinda hate to brag it but we have it all in Oskaloosa at the Southern Iowa Speedway. The last few weeks there has a full time gut taking care of the trake. PLUS mod feature pays $100 to start. That's gota be one of the best payouts around. SO ceeya at the track!! A few more mods every week would be nice.
