Lap Leaders: 1-5 Stewart, 6-25 Pember
Cautions: (3) First one for #56 spin in turn 3 with one lap in, second one for flat tire on #20 Stewart on lap 14, Thatcher also flat tire and Thoennes with kill switch troubles...all three cars able to restart, and final caution on lap 16 for contact with #20 and #56, collecting #91 and #5 cars...#56 and #91 unable to continue.
Note: Track was fast and a bit on the moist side. Ron Schreiner, Bob Timm and Steve Arpin were on the move though, as they passed a number of cars. Timm dropped out on the final lap while running in third. Once Stewart jumped the cushion in turn 2 on lap 6, it was all Eric Pember up front. Cain kept close, but could not pass the fleet #30 mod. Also a nice run for Joey Jensen from 11th on the grid.
