Im not married but my Mom and little brother knew and that is amazing. I was thinking they would barely know what chassis I am running. They said 4-bar (kinda) 4-link, same thing I guess.

My wife said that she knew I ran a leaf car in 2002, but had no clue what my 2003 car was... I'll let you guys say if she passed or not.

I should hope she passed she is the crew chief and set up specialist. I'll come in off the track and she will have any changes ready to go. I wouldn't have won as many races with out her. Conversation does get intresting at the dinner table.

How can a guy who loves racing so much as most of us do and have a better half that hates it so much? You must be real lonely at nights during the summer?
Anyways mine was also right on the first try,4-link z-link!

LOL Great topic!

I asked my GF and I got a blank stare, when I said it was a question to see how involved in the race team she was she said: "You mean I have to know more than what the car looks like and what you broke each week? I thought keeping the camera on the car was my only job"

Guys, this one really hits home. Most of you have never met my Wife, some have. She orders parts, Motors and parts, Transmissions and parts, she works deals with major companys, big names in racing, I'm starting to think that the racing world knows her better than me. I have racers all the time tell me how lucky I am, trust me, I don't have to be told! She not only knows that my old car is a two link, the new one a four bar Z-link, but also knows the springs, the shocks, and reason for when to run them. She knows my gears and where I run them, heck she even remembers the part numbers, I can't even tell you most of them.... and if thats not enough, she films my races, feeds the crew, takes care of everything, If she could only WELD.....LOL, just kidding. I hope some of you get a chance to meet her sometime, she is the perfect racers wife, and mother and Grandmother but that's another thread!!!!!

I can vouch for Rooster. I had the chance to meet Tom and his wife last year at Lakeside and she can work circles around most of the crewmen I've seen.
BTW Tom still have the dancing gopher?

My wife passed. Asked her what type suspension we had on the rear of the car and without hesitation she said 4 bar.

Hey 05, How's it going? LOL, still have the Gopher in the Earnhardt shades, Racing wouldn't be the same if he wasn't with us. I hear Craig may come this way next year, are you coming too? Sure would like to race with you guys again (and keep all four tires down) LOL, got allot of miles out of the pictures of that first lap Crash. I built a new four bar car, and My son will run the two link this year, Grandson is in a Kart and Dee will of course be Directing Traffic...LOL!!!!

Rooster your one lucky guy! My wife has no idea what rear suspension is. She is a great human tripod and will be the first to jump on anyone who wants to start crap. Gotta love 'em.

Hey Guys I guess I would pass with flying colors myself. I am the driver and my husband is the crew chief/owner. If you look around our house you will see how dedicated we are. We have a set of Dart heads in the dining room. A shelvinig unit in the office that houses Pistons, rods, eagle cranks and such. We do have a garage but it isn't big enough to house all my parts. We have every tool known to man and that will never be enough. I love racing.

Drive happy and be safe!

I am the car owner - a woman, and I know what chassis we run, what size motor we have, what gear we run, and pretty much anything else that needs to be know about the car. I'm the race fanatic, and would much rather be at the race track than just about any place else I can think of!

Failed: she said 9 inch first then she said springs. I asked her what kind of springs she said the round kind and she was right. Gotta love her.

Mine has no idea what suspension, motor, or anything else I have. She sure can hold that camera still when she films. I watch and study every film over and over. When she is in the pits she gets bored because I pay no attention to her.
