I'm not sure that counts.I can't even get my local dodge dealer to help with a simple parts discount. Heck we've got chevys racing here with ford-honda-nissan etc as primary sponsers..

Mike @ Bettenhausen Dodge here in Tinley Park, IL takes real good care of our team. I'm real lucky he is from a racing family and understands what we need to be competitive

Dirtdodge, I also run a mopar. I emailed you about the tranny parts you had for sale. If you're looking for engine help, try either Dave Hughes, ie hughesengines.com or Bill Richardson at ramracing.com Both of these guys know mopar circle track stuff. I personally use Dave Hughes. He's helped me out quite a bit. Just my two cents and ..........See ya at the track!!

I am a service manager at a Dodge dealership and they sponsored me a 340 I couldnt hit my azz with. I didnt have the right combo though. I was trying to buzz it like a chevy. It wouldnt take the rpms. Even with the discounts I get it is not cost effective to run a dodge.

I ran Dodge in a mod for three seasons and did not do too bad. I however got sick of seeing the cheaper prices for chevy stuff and got tired of the extra fabrication needed to run a dodge.
I am not saying that a Dodge cannot work or win just that it takes more money and work.

When it comes to engine the Dodge rotating assemblies are heavier and than Chevy and more expensive, not to mention the oil work needed to make one live.

I also dealt with Richardson a smart guy knows his stuff. We did the oiling sys. on our our motor and it saw over 8000 many nights without a problem, we just got tired of the extra headaches involved with running a dodge.Best of luck to you.
If you run Dodge the best website for you is the www.moparchat.com
Look under the circle track section.

340 King and Sanborn are 2 of the sharpest guys around that run Dodge on dirt and are very helpfull and have answers to almost anything that has been tried with Dodge on dirt.
Best of luck.

I said that wrong there were 2 B-mod's that
were not very smart and run mopar in N-Iowa
and alot of disgruntled very intellegent
chevy drivers that wanted to win too. so
they showed the mopars the door and told them
to take their junk and get out so we can win
too.

My brother and I have run mopars all of our racing careers. Streets, mods, limited late. We do not experience some of your problems such as cost etc. We use mostly stock parts and the cheby crybabies always say we do as well as we do because of the dodge power. Cry me a river. We run dodges because we have always liked them and had street rods also. Also anyone can run a cheby. Part of racing is being different than others. You have to think outside the box to run a dodge. Hope you guys running dodges keep at it and keep the faith!
