After being one of the original proponents of 'The Dirt Forum', I have now been kicked off for stating my opinion about a product that sponsors that site. Here is some of the private message dialog that occured between myself and the site operator.

Nice hit and run man....if you are gonna get into this and bring me into this...you should still be in it....it was unnecessary to bring a sponsor into this, I do not appreciate it.

Just because I'm very busy and don't have the luxury of checking in every day doesn't make me hit and run.

The fact remains that a Layne is an expensive way of pushing the rules limits in IMCA. I disagree that they should be legal but not a Bert/Brinn.

I understand that you are saving money on motors, but what about the next guy. You know the one. He has tons of money and buys a Layne plus a high dollar motor. How are you/we going to keep up with him then?

As far as the sponsor deal. Lucky you. Sometimes you have to take some crap when you wear the glass slipper. If it hadn't been me, it would've been somebody else. You said so yourself.

Nothing personal intended.

you just got yourself a one way ticket out of here

Beware, if you say something they don't like they ban you.
And he does allow slamming to people that he doesn't like.
So visit this site knowing the bias.

I don't know of a site that doesn't protect someone, something, etc. I could give you the name of the protected on this site but but that would serve no purpose so I'll just leave it at that. I too don't understand how totally untrue slander can be left up for months and documented truth is erased faster than a fart in a hurricane. Go figure huh? I agree with you on the Layne issue, I don't know how good their tranny is but you can't blame racers for looking for an advantage. I blame IMCA, Their rule package leaves a little to be desired. Their inability to make rules that actually save the racer money is amazing. They seem to make themselves plenty. The Modified class has gotten away from them. I think they have a golden opportunity to take control of this class. They need to start a B Mod class and make very restrictive rules using unaltered stock parts, required claims, head limits, carb rules, etc. Open the A Mod class wide open, QC rears, burts, brins, rack and pinion, tube frames, if it dies fine, let it die. Letting the A mods die would take the liability heat off IMCA for parts made illegal. We need a new tire, an inexpencive one, not this high priced cheap piece of garbage we have now. If that tire were on the rack at Wal-Mart they'd have trouble selling it for $45.00! Can't blame Layne, Ernie, or the racers, it's the rules that need fixed.

Just wanted a place to tell my side of the story, since now the site operator can post whatever without allowing me rebuttals.
I never said anything out of line. I stated my opinion on the IMCA rules.
And this wasn't meant to stir up a transmission discussion.

I have emailed that person twice offering to refund his $15 that he paid me for 2 spring cups and jacker bolts. Somehow he mis-read the post and assumed there were 4. So far he hasn't responded to my emails. Because of that ONE instance jammin accused me of being a thief. Then when I defended myself with an offer to refund the mans money, jammin edited the posted and deleted my profile.

His actions were bias, unwarranted, and a blatant mis-use of authority not to mention his slanderous comments towards me. It is hot-headed people like this that give our sport a bad name. They shouldn't be driving a racecar or placed in positions of authority.

Slander is a FELONY in Arkansas. If Jammin don't like you or your opinions he kicks you off. Then bad mouths you. His way or the hiway. Your better off not posting on it. Have you seen how it isnt so popular as it use to be. He screws everybody even some of his own sponsors. Just print out his crap and send it to the Perry County, Arkansas Sherriff. Let him handle it.

Just go to a different forum, where Jammin doesn't hold all the cards.

I've been frequenting afcoracing.com message boards more often.

JAmmin hold all the cards on that forum and for that reason, you know your comments are fine as long as you dont disagree with any of the sponsors. Jammin also had a run in with Jerry from Eagle Chassis.
I have to wonder now because there appears to be a pattern here of this kind of thing happening.

Last year was a good time over there. It's too bad we can't find a nice place to chat without someone on a power trip trying to actually infringe on speach. Down with all that, WhoWon is the place we keep coming back to.

I put a post on there once as Pearl and it was deleted right away. I figured if Shakin could spam the IMCA forum there was no reason someone couldn't spam the dirt forum. I usually visit about twice a year just to see what has changed. Sorry, but from reading the posts on there I knew there was no way someone could be so up and positive ALL THE TIME. Sometimes you've got to get down to the nitty gritty of a subject. Sidebite, your opinions are always welcomed here but there are posts that get deleted here too.

I have learned that forum does not equal free speech, especially if the subject advertises on the site! This website is no different.

I would have expected it had I actually slammed a sponsor on the forum itself. I simply mentioned the sponsors name and the fact that the operator was contradicting his own argument about the escalating costs of racing.

I find it interesting how so many people have bad things to say about him and the site. Seems to have made many enemies along the way with such behaviour.

As long as it's a privately owned forum, there will be moderators. Some places just go overboard. I think that for the most part, WhoWon is pretty good about not just deleting posts with wreckless abandon.

Now, I wanna know what the deal is......half of the people on this Who Won post are members of this forum that visit here DAILY to get information. The other half is already banned.

I guess people always show their true colors.
