Most know that Memorial Day weekend for the UMP modifieds is huge in central Illinois. Beginning Friday night May 25 at Vermilion County Speedway in Danville the seedway is having a National Kidney Foundation night with proceeds going to the Kidney Foundation through the Danville branch. A fee of $15 per UMP modified will be donated to the foundation for the Friday night show with the modifieds paying an extra $10 and the promoter paying $5 per modified. To help make up for the added fee promoter Bill Marietta has added money to the purse from the previously advertised $700 to win and will now be $1000 to win. All feature positions have also increased for the evening. Also as an added bonus the winner on Friday night is also guaranteed a starting position at Charleston Speedway's $2500 to win UMP modified race the next night, Saturday May 26, and also a starting position in the $5000 to win $300 to start David Richardson Memorial race back at VCS on Sunday evening May 27. Would love to see a huge field of UMP modifieds show up next Friday and help out a great charity in the NKF and also get a good tune up for Sunday. What a chance to show other types of sports and race tracks what UMP modified drivers are made of by helping a national charity. Total payoff for Friday May 25:
1. 1000 2. 400 3. 300 4. 250
5. 200 6. 150 7. 140 8. 130
9. 120 10.100 11. 95 12. 90
13. 85 14. 80 15. 75 16. 70
17. 65 18. 60 19. 55 20. 50
any other starters in feature $50
Consi finishers will be paid according to their finish. All cars will be paid a minimum of $25. Thank you.
