I have a 2.3 Ford Mustang, stock block, head milled 100 thousand, 400 lift HYD cam.

I am turning this engine 7800 - 8000 RPM's,
from what I read the HYD lifters are only good for 7200 max.

Am I in danger of blowing and should I change the gear to get back to the high
6000's RPM's?

If you're not blowing the crimp ring off the lifter nothing's wrong! Don't believe it when somebody tells you hydraulics won't turn that much(they don't know how to do it).

Get a good set of anti pump lifters and limit max rpm's to 74......You'll be faster.....hydraulic cams don't make power up there....They might rev there but they are not making any power.

I was looking at the check availability button on that part number and it says in stock.............If racer walsh, essy, and pegasus are sold out then I'd go lunati, crower, competition, or crane.....

ss27. Up your spring pressure and that'll keep the rings on. A hydraulic cam can be just as aggressive as a solid cam and with the right one can make GOOD power to 8300. Julia... where did you get that part number?

Yeah...Race can't get the anti pump-ups anymore. They're not made. I found 2 sets at a machine shop here that had been ordered for somebody else a good while back so I got them.
