I got a 2.3 block that does not seem to have a place for the fuel pump just two bolt holes and solod metal where theere should be a place for fuel pump. can i still use this block some how

Get you a cheapy electric pump is the easiest. If that is not legal at your track you can mill the hole out by using another block as a pattern and the auxillary shaft still has the eccentric lobe. If yours doesn't have the fuel pump lobe just replace that auxillary shaft with one from an older model.

well nobody really ansewed but here is what I found in case someone else has the same issue. I traced out the block with a fuel pump gasket and drilled several holes and then cut out the remaining metal with a cone type cutting bit on the end of a drill. Pulled the oil pan and cleaned all the shavings out and it was ready for the fuel pump to be mounted. Works like a charm. I was told the aux shaft would not have a lobe for the fuek pump but it did
