going down the straight stretch car runs fine but when i try to pick the throttle back up coming out of the turns the car wants to bog down like its running out of gas.we have changed jets and fuel pressure but no change!i bought a new circle track float but have not put in because people at the track say it should not matter because its not banked that much.any help would greatley appreciated, thanks

has the car ever backfired? if so it my have busted the powervalve.that is if it's a holley

sounds like you need to play with the squirter if it is too big or too little it will hesitate when you get into the gas. Just put a Holley 7884 on an 87 s-10 we race it had a 25 squirter had to go to a 37 to get throttle responce right. The squirter is located in the top of the carb and is where the gas squirts out when you push down on the accelarator pump arm you can buy different sizes at auto parts store. Also make sure accelator pump is adjusted right, any movement of the throttle shaft should have the squirter spraying gas if not adjust it.

it is a holley but there is no power valve it has a plug!
