I have a 1990 s10 with a 2.5 fuel injected. It runs fine when i start it up but then gets a loud ticking noise and has no power. Im pretty sure i blew the head. Its doing everything that makes me lead to it. I also got told they think its the problem its supposed to be kind of known on these. My question is can i use a 2.0 head off say a caviler or a 2.2 head what head can i use? I would like years if it matters and all that. Im also wandering if my STOCK s10 blew the head how can people run dome pistons and all that and theres still survive. What is the best head to put on this thing? All help appreciated.
Also a buddy races a toyota celica and he has blown 2 heads everyone he talked to said too much compression. Whats your opinion its the 22R motor. Thanks for all the help.
