2 THINGS, ONE IS WHAT KIND OF OIL SHOULD I BE RUNNING IN MY 2.3 L MOTOR, NOT ROYAL OIL OR ANYTHING BUT SYNTEC 10W 30 OR REGULAR OIL STRAIGHT 30 AND THE 2 THING IS CHASSIS HELP?? I RACE ON A 1/4 MILE TRACK FLAT. ITS A PINTO SO I HAVE THE WEDGE BOLTS IN THE FRONT SO WHEN I PUT AROUND OF WEDGE IN THE RIGHT FRONT WHAT WILL I BE DOING, SORRY ABOUT ALL THIS JUST LOST MY CREW CHIEF THANKS

#1 I run 20w 50 Oil
#2 Adding wedge turning RF bolt down lifting car will tighten you entering corner.

#3 Stager gets you out. (your next question)lol

THANKS FOR THE HELP, SO WHEN I PUT A TURN OF WEDGE IN THE RIGHT FRONT THE CAR WILL TURN INSTEAD OF PUSH?? THE LEFT FRONT GOT WEDGE PUT IN IT ,IT WILL PUT MORE WEIGHT ON THE RIGHT REAR???WILL THAT MAKE IT LOSER OR MAKE THAT RR TIRE BITE HARDER?? ALSO U NEED TO RUN A THICKER OIL LIKE 20W- 50 SO IT DOESNT BRAKE DOWN WIN IT GETS HOT. I NEED A BOTTOM END BUILT ANY SUGGESTION ON WHAT TO RUN, 5.7 RODS , 2500 CRANK, .... ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE GREAT

what are your rules how much does your car weigh how much doe do ya have. How many R's are you planning on turning.

RULES ARE BASIC ALOUD TO BORE, NO POLISHING CRANKS NOTHING LIKE THAT BUT WHO CARES ABOUT RULES, PLAN ON TURNING ANYWHERE FROM 6000 TO 7500 RPM WHAT ARE U RUNNING FOR YOUR BOTTOM END

Adding wedge will make it push if over done and does add right rear bite. Much will depend on the spring combination you are using.

As far as engine save your money, forget the stroker stuff. The best money spent would be 0-deck the block and cut the head .150thos. Run forged pistons and windage tray. If headers are allowed use'em. Must have the proper gearing. Beware of recomendations give on cams, bigger may not be better. Purchase a well built carb and go win some races.

Another thing to go along with Bigcity's "put the money in your pocket" is until you understand how to make your car Handle it will do you NO GOOD to have all them horses under the hood if ya cant get them to the ground!

Work on the suspention! I have read alot of questions about horses and about a guy runnin away with the show and in the end its the guy that has spent more time on his cars setup then they have and is simply driving in, through and outta the corners where as they are battling either a push in or at the apex cannot get on the gas or a loose car coming off the corner

Of course this is Just my Opinion....

also 20w 50 also on the oil

buy the best parts you can afford,stay away from cast pistons.we run manley 5.7 rods,wiseco 30 over pistons, total seal rings,a ford crank,and use an excellent machinest,head is port & polished cut .175,FI intake with port & polish,solid lifters,header from performance bodies,straight 50 wt.kendall oil.make sure that your car is properly set up
