need to replace a head gasket on a 2.3l ford. What are the head bolt torque specs and in what sequence do they need to be torqued.

you need to start in the middle and work toward the ends maKING SURE TO CROSS THE CAM EACH TIME. also torque in steps I do all 30 then 60 then 85or90. the regular fel pro is all I have ever used. 8993pt1

Cometic or Mr. Gasket makes a composite gasket that matches a .030 bore almost perfectly. Plus they're reusable.

Try this. I found that a 2.3 is a 2.3 is a 2.3, pretty much, far as torque goes.
