Just curious what sizes of tires everyone runs on their front drivers. My track says no less than a 70 series and no greater tread width than 8 inches. Any suggestions on what to run. Thanks.

Our track says 65, 70, or 75 series only. I use the 70 series in 185/70/13 because there is a bigger selection in that series than the "65". I run a 4" backspace but that can vary with your clearance requirements. I started putting tubes in our tires because I got tired of guys hitting the tire/wheel and popping it loose from the rim and losing the air. Last night we took a *ell of a hit in the wheel and never lost air pressure. Here is a picture of the wheel. You can see the tube showing at the edge of the tire bead, but it never went flat. http://yourpage.blazenet.net/john48/Tire%20with%20tube.jpg

In answer to your question on the 4m group about studs vs bolts, I use studs because its a lot easier to mount a tire when you are in a hurry compared to rolling the wheel around trying to line up 2 holes. (one in the wheel and one in the hub) If your threads are pretty bad in the hubs, I would replace the hub or at the very least install heli-coils. Heli-coils are thread inserts that look like a short spring. You drill your stripped holes out and tap them to fit the heli-coil. After you install the heli-coil, you have your original lug bolt size back.
