what is the best light weight clutch assy to use on a pinto with a 2300. I ran a borrowed ram coupler last week. car was awesome off corners but very hard to use and start off. liner was worn out. would like a clutch that offers same performance but more user freindly.

It all goes to the money thing. How much money you willing to spend. Esslinger of course has the lightweight flywheels with the clutch for enough money you could buy a new car for. But speedway also has a good package for a not so bad price. I always just ran a lightweight flywheel with a stock clutch and it was always fine for me but everyone is different.

contact gold star out of California. They are more than ram couplers but last a heck of a lot longer. They only weigh around 11.5lbs. The tilton is also a good clutch set up.

you can get the 6 pound flywheel and long throw out bearing at race engineering with a stock pressure plate and disc that works pretty good
