We ran 1/2 mile with the same tires. Try 7 lf, 9 lr, 14 rr, 14 rf. Don't run a sway bar if it's a flat track. Springs look pretty good. Remember the faster the corner speeds are, the stiffer your springs need to be.

I race at greenvalley speedway in glenco alabama. The prob I am having is loose in tight off. Several pepole have told me not to run a sway bay,any thoughts on that.

sway bars are for pavement. When used on dirt they don't allow the chassis to roll, thus less weight transfer.

I had no luck with a bar on a pinto. Sounds like you need more crossweight or rearweight. What is your percentages, stagger, etc?

the set up I have now in the car is 56.9%left side, 52.0% cross, 45.0% rear, the wheel weights are lf 716, lr 620, rf 596, rr 412, I have taken the sway bar off after talking to you guys . I have about 1 inch of roll out in the front and 1.5 in the rear. the total weight is 2344 we have a 2300 min anytime.

The percentages look pretty good. There is a little more bite in it than I like to run. You show 208 pounds of bite. The loose in could be the sway bar not letting the car roll going in not allowing any sidebite. Tight off could be the bite. Every track is different. Is it a high bank or low bank, muddy, dry or dry slick?

Just for reference:

In a pinto you don't drive in like on asphalt. Get out there and make sure the car goes left when you jump on the throttle. Jump on the throttle going in the corner to turn the car....

The track I run at is med banking , the track turns black taking on rubber Iam not sure what you would call that. It is a 'D' shaped oval very wide you can go 4 or 5 deep easily it is also fast.

Try it without the bar and set air pressure close to what was posted. After running check the sidewall of both right side tires to make sure they're not laying under the car. Check for wear on the letters of the sidewall not how far the dirt has been coming up the sidewall.

Another thing...dirt tracks usually need more suspension movement on the right side. Make sure you don't have a bind somewhere that would cause the back end to snap around. Good luck.

Good job!!! That means there's still more there if you ran third. Keep trying different things that make sense one at a time and you'll be hearing "tear him down" before it's over with.
