The track I race at is allowing trucks in the 4 cyl superstock class and I am considering building one. Has anyone ever built a ranger??? Any tips appreciated.

Thanks

you'll need the later model ranger with a-arms and rack & pinion steering. an i-beam truck will handle, well....like a truck...

DON"T DO IT. The ranger is to heavy up front to ever get the cross and rear percentages close. If it was a V8 class the power may be enough to help ya but at 28-2900 lbs you would be out ran by those pesky Pinto's

I was wondering how heavy one stripped down would be. You both make valid points. Guess Im gonna stick with the mustang but have heard of toyota trucks doing good but Im sticking with a 2.3 liter due to availability of parts. Thanks for the input.

Isnt a Ford Courier and the mazda b2000 the same? They are both not made any more and I had thought one made the other.Has anybody ever seen a Mazda B200o turned into mini stock
