I haven't raced on a 1/2 mi. track, but here are some things you might try: stiffen your right rear up with a stiffer spring or spring wedges. stiffen up the right and left front as well, especially the left front. Run a little higher air pressure in the right rear. Try not to use the brakes at all, let the car roll through the corner. Hard brake usage really binds up a fwd car. Try wider wheels, if your track rules allow it. Run about 3/16th of an inch of negative camber in the right rear(I think it's negative)A fwd is going to push no matter what(if you have to run strictly stock rules like I do)I never did get my car to handle like I thought it should(and won't now either because I destroyed it Friday night; flipped three times), but I did all these things to my car and they really helped, I had one bad-fast car. Stagger is something a lot of people suggset as well, but my car was a lot happier on all four tires the same size. What you are trying acheive, or what my goal was anyway was to get as much of the load to the left front as you can. Good Luck, it must be a blast racing on a half mile!
