most of the ones ive seen weigh 16lbs and it will bolt to a ford 2.3 crank and a stock starter will work fine and the clutch is 7 7/8 in but the clutch wont work with the pinto tranmission. the hub size and the spline is different. we get a stock pinto clutch wich is 8.5 in and have turned down to 7 7/8. anybody with a lathe can do it and we run the stock escort pressure plate and the bolts from the escort should work

I heard you have to use a different throwout bearing out of a chevy or something to hopefully someone will tell us. I need to do the same thing.

This will not work like you have stated. It will take a mill and a index. You can buy the throwout bearing but it is something like $70. Why not just machine your own flywheel on a lathe? That is what we do.

Good luck
