Anyone rebuilt an small journel 2300?
Seems to be a 1990 model ford ranger.
Having trouble with the main bearings.
Does the thrust bearing have the trust supports on both halfs?

Mains only have the thrust ring on 1 half unlike the regular 2.3 ford large journal. Main numbers should be 7291 for michigan I believe.

Make sure you hardblock that small journal block the cylinder walls are thinner than large journal blocks~~~ if you're putting 12 to 1 or higher on that thing it will split the cylinder walls.
