I have moved up into a class that allows up to 3 inchs of spacer between the carb and the intake. Is there an advantage to doing this. I presently have a 1 inch spacer and is doing ok but is not as responsive as I would like. Would the additional spacers help it rev quicker? Would the jet size need to be increased or decreased? The carb im using is a 4412 holley on a .4 mile track. Thanks for any help or advice.

I've found the closer the carb is to the intake, the more response the motor is. Three inches puts the carb a long way from the intake which will hurt the signal.
