I am new to the sport. Looking for info on setting up chassis on a 1982 mustang gl. We have a 4 cylinder with a 4 speed tranny. Any web sites or books out there that anyone knows about? Any info would help. Starting a father/son project.

We dont have the motor or trans yet, but looking at the rules for where we are going to race, they will have to be all stock.

I noticed your track allows mustangs in the pure stock class(min. 98" wheelbase, mustang is 100"). Why not build the car and put a 302 or 351w in it and go fast. In our area 4 cyl. are a dying breed and it shouldn't cost you much more to build a sbf as it would to build a competitive 2300. Just my .02. btw the k frame for 4 cyl. and v8 are the same so if you have a 4 cyl you can bolt a sbf right in.

I will think about this one. We found a 2300 and a 2500 for free that runs well. if we move up we will go to the 302 351.
