I am very new to racing(last 6 races of last year)I run a chevette on differant sized tracks. What is the general rule when it comes to spring heights and weights at the four corners..The car pushes bad when getting off the corners on short tracks. Thanks for any and all help.

Your car is probably lighter than mine but. I would run a smaller lr. more stagger. Then maybe a spring rubber in your rr. You can also jump the tire pressure in the lr up a lil bit. A push is when you are getting too much bite. To a certain extent the lower the pressure the more grip. So if you raise it it will no grip as much and you shouldnt push as bad. I was in your boat for about a yr. My car was loose. Very loose.

Maybe a push is not the right word ,its more like i have no forward bite. When trying to pick up on the gas it wants to leap ,like i dont have the right spring combination getting everything to the ground .I know you veteran racers could help me out I do have a locked rear adding to the problem.Would running a stiffer rr spring help the launch affect?

Raising or stiffening the right rear will give that corner more weight transfer through the corner and allow you drive threw the corner. It will eliminate the push. If you are tight still coming out you need more rear stager. And less if you are loose coming out of the corner.
Good Luck
